Description:
Amoxyheal CV is a fixed‑dose combination antibiotic combining amoxicillin (a penicillin-class antibiotic) with clavulanate, a β‑lactamase inhibitor. This duo enhances amoxicillin’s effectiveness against bacteria that produce resistance enzymes

Upper/lower respiratory infections (sinusitis, otitis media, bronchitis, pneumonia)
-
Skin, soft tissue, bone & joint infections
-
Urinary tract infections, cystitis, pyelonephritis

Dental, gingival, wound, and abscess infections
Mechanism of Action:
-
Amoxicillin inhibits bacterial cell‑wall synthesis → bacterial death
-
Clavulanate inhibits β‑lactamase enzymes → protects
Dosage & Administration:
-
For adults & children ≥40 kg: 1 tablet (875 mg/125 mg) orally with food, every 12 hours, as prescribed
-
Duration varies by infection type (typically 5–14 days); always complete full course to limit resistance
Side Effects:
Common: diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, skin rash, headaches
Less common/serious: candidiasis, allergic reactions, rare cholestatic jaundice (usually in older males or prolonged use)
Precautions & Contraindications:
-
Contraindicated in patients with penicillin hypersensitivity

Storage & Handling:
-
Store at room temperature, protected from heat and moisture
-
Keep out of reach of children; tablets should be swallowed whole
Monitoring & Follow‑up:
-
Evaluate for symptom relief within 48–72 hours; if no improvement or side effects occur, consult a physician
-
Consider liver and renal function tests in prolonged therapy
Note:
This effective broad-spectrum antibiotic should be used only for confirmed or strongly suspected bacterial infections. Misuse or incomplete courses can foster antibiotic resistance. Use under medical supervision.
